It’s been a challenging two years for colleges and universities. National media outlets, think tanks, and research firms have all focused on the financial impact that a college degree has on a student or alumni, asking are learners getting a return on their investment in higher education?
Unfortunately, the majority of students and alumni say their return isn’t what it can be. Students say that they feel unprepared for the working world and lack the confidence in their ability to be successful in the job market. A little more than half of alumni say that they met all their higher education goals. And only 9% of alumni say that their alumni network is “helpful” or “very helpful.”
For this first-of-its-kind report, we set out to find what happens when an institution does put intention and strategy around the career support learners are asking for. This benchmark data answers if launching a Career Access PlatformTM creates measurable improvement for student, alumni, and institutional outcomes.
